Where did the week go? As I stare at my calendar in confusion, why don’t you dive into this week’s quick pick of internet finds. As usual, good things come in threes…
♥ If none of those take your fancy then maybe one of these spring inspired wedding hairpieces over at Polka Dot Bride will.
♥ The springtime Queensland Brides Wedding & Honeymoon Expo is on at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre this weekend. It starts at 5:30pm today and runs through until 4pm on Sunday.
Art & Design
♥ I have to admit that I’m struggling to resist buying this fabulous Lego model of a Parisian building complete with restaurant, apartment and artist studio. It forms part of Lego’s modular building series, which targeted at grown-up Lego fans.
Via [My Modern Met].
♥ I love the way that some talented street artists cleverly make their art works interact with nature. Polish artist and graphic designer Natalia Rak created this mural of a lovely little girl watering a real tree for the Folk on the Street art festival in Bialystok, Poland.
♥ New York photographer Leland Bobbé’s ongoing Half-Drag portrait series is brilliant. As the title suggests it features New York drag queens with half of their faces made up and half left unadorned. In case you’re wondering the photos aren’t composites of two images, they’re single shots.

There’s lots on in Brisbane this weekend to keep you out of trouble.
♥ The Queensland Museum is hosting one of their After Dark events tonight to tie in with the Afghanistan: Hidden Treasures from the National Museum, Kabul exhibition. Tickets are $26.50.
Via [The Weekend Edition].
♥ I mentioned the Gasworks Plaza in last week’s Quick Picks. They get another mention this week because this Saturday they’ll be celebrating the gasometer’s 140th birthday with food wine and music from 11am until late.
Via [The Urban List].
That’s it for another week’s quick picks. Have a great weekend!
P.S. We don’t receive payment or gifts to list products or services in our Quick Picks, we link to stuff because we like it.
