As the end of the year edges closer and closer, I find myself starting to think about the deadlines that will need to be pushed over into the new year. It’s funny how an arbitrary date can inspire a sense of endings and beginnings. So as I review my substantial to do list, here’s this week’s quick pick of internet finds to keep you busy. As usual, good things come in threes…
♥ Polka Dot bride has a great roundup of Wedding guest books they’ve found on Etsy. My favourite is the signature tree from fancyprints. I can imagine hanging this on my wall with or without signatures.
♥ Brides-to-be in Sydney looking to save a little money on their wedding gown now have a new option with Henry Roth’s bridal gown factory outlet store. They stock one of a kind, discontinued and or slightly irregular gowns from Henry Roth’s collections.

♥ The Summer 2013/14 sssue of Queensland Brides is out now. And it’s filled with somethings old, new, borrowed and blue. You can find it in your favourite newsagent or order it from the Queensland Brides website.
Art & Design
♥ It’s not a great surprise that this beautiful 3D fly-through of London’s city streets in the 1600’s won the 2013 Off the Map competition hosted by British Library and games development company Crytek.
♥ Korean artist Young-Deok Seo creates sculptures of people from chain. They look so tactile, I’m not sure how you’d resist touching them if you saw them in person.

♥ UK artist Andy Scott produces giant public sculptures. His latest work is ‘The Kelpies”, the heads of two massive horses which sit beside the Forth and Clyde Canal near Falkirk in Scotland.
♥ A selection of the wonderful letters featured on the Letters of Note blog have been published as a book. It would make a beautiful gift for someone who appreciates the dying art of letter writing.
♥ If you have any doubts that approaching your work with a positive attitude can change your whole outlook then let dancing New York Traffic Cop, Mentoria Hutchinson change your mind. Note: This this link will take you to a video that may play automatically.
